My name is Richard Murphy and I am the senior instructor at Shin-Ki-Tai.
I have trained in Shukokai Karate for over 20 years. At present I hold the grade of 3rd dan (Sandan) black belt.
I was taught by and trained under Sensei Terry Frow 3rd dan (Sandan) black belt who in retiring from training gave me the opportunity to start my own clubs.
I am a true martial artist and believe that all martial arts are good if taught by good instructors.
I have trained in Ju-Jitsu, Kung Fu and other styles of karate.

Sensei Richard Murphy
We are a traditional Shito-Ryu Shukokai style karate club based in the south/east of Sheffield, UK. The club is affiliated to the Bushindo-Kai association.
We train every Monday at St Theresa RC School, Queen Mary Rd,
Sheffield. All classes are 6:30 pm until 8:30pm. See map for exact

After successfully grading to 1st Dan under Sensei Richard Murphy in 2009, Andy Crowder and Liam Murphy opened their own club (under the watchful eye of Sensei Richard Murphy!) Andy and Liam have a free reign to run the club in their own way but all gradings are supervised by Sensei Richard.
